On November 6th we gathered with over 20 members in attendance for a
Zoom online virtual meeting. Will COVID ever end??
After a little business we had two great presentations.
The first was by our guest dealer Mr. Eric Jump The Paperweight Collection. Many thanks for
his help and for his fine presentation on 20th Century Murano Paperweights. Great detail
and we all enjoyed learning about the history, design and makers of Murano weights.
Our second presentation was by our fearless President Mr. Ben Fields. His presentation was
on Murrine. He showed us many great examples from numerous artists of their work and
examples of how they are made. There was one in particular that was quite amazing. It
contained a face and in one of the eyes there was a VERY small reflection of another person.
Our next meeting will be in Buda, TX and its planned to be in person! Pleaseplan to join us.
